You need to be 18 or older. There’s no upper limit. If you can do it, you can enter. Contestants short listed will have to submit age proof documents.

Not this season. Come back when you turn 18. In the meantime, follow the show & keep working.

Anyone can send in an audition from anywhere. Instagram doesn’t have borders & neither does talent.

But if you’re shortlisted, the competition happens in Mumbai, in person, for several weeks. Enter knowing that.

If you are an NRI or an Indian citizen working or staying abroad you will have to fund you own travel to India and back along with a right Visa, wherever applicable.

Yes. Being on a show before doesn’t disqualify you. What you did there doesn’t count for anything here either.

Yes, but tell us. If you’re under an exclusive contract with an agency, label or production house, that contract may limit what you can do with us. Better to sort it out now than after you’ve been selected.

Both. Trained, self-taught, formally schooled, learned off YouTube. The judges care about what you can do, not where you learned it.

Solo. The competition is built around individual performers.

No. Entering The Big Break is completely free, at every stage. Nobody who represents this show will ever ask you for money.

As many times as you like. New briefs go up every day. Every entry is looked at.

Yes acting, singing and dancing. and You cannot do 2 things in one video

Don’t combine two disciplines in a single video. If you sing & dance, send both as separate videos. They’re judged separately.

Make it public before you enter. A collab request from a private account can’t be shown on our feed, so we can’t accept it even if we love it.

You’ll need it. Instagram is how auditions work for this season. The account is free & takes two minutes to set up.

Not necessarily. We get a very large number of entries every day & accept a limited number of them. An unanswered request usually means volume, not a verdict. Keep entering on the new briefs.

We review entries every day through the audition window. If yours is accepted, it usually goes up on our feed within 7 days.

Before we accept it, yes. Cancel the collab invite in Instagram & send a new one. Once an entry is live on our feed, write to us & we’ll deal with it case by case.

Depends on the discipline.

Singers

Can pick any song as per the own choice that fits the theme or situation in the brief.

Dancers

You may use a song provided by The Big Break handle on Instagram from BLM Music, however please make sure to follow the community guidelines of each platform and respect other’s intellectual property by having proper clearances.

Actors

use the script exactly as provided on The Big Break Instagram handle from time to time.

Shoot vertical. Good light, clean sound, phone camera is fine. Keep it between 30 & 90 seconds. We’re watching your performance, not your production.

Filters, pre-recorded, auto-tune, AI generated content will not be considered.

Not right now. Instagram is the only way in. If that changes, we’ll announce it on @thebigbreakindia.

Mukesh Chhabra on acting. Bosco Martis on dance. A rotating panel of established Bollywood composers & singers on music.

These are people who pick talent for a living. They’re looking for craft, control & something they haven’t seen before. Not a sad story.

Every week, the judges sit down on YouTube to go through the entries. Final shortlist for the Mumbai phase 2 will be announce together sometime in October end or early November.

Yes, the competition happens in Mumbai. Your travel & accommodation are on us except in the case of an NRI. If you’re shortlisted, we get you here & we put you up.

Where you’re from & what you can afford has nothing to do with whether you make it.

The competition phase runs 12 to 16 weeks in Mumbai. However, your availability is required for only 1 week within that period. As per our direction. We hold the right to call you back once more for a duration of 1 week, within the same 12 to 16 weeks.

Be honest with yourself before you enter. If you’re selected, this needs real time in Mumbai. We’d rather you plan for it now than pull out in week 3.

The USP of the show is to provide a contract and a career opportunity, rather than an award or trophy.

Actors

The winner will be offered an acting contract for a minimum of one project, such as a film/web series/OTT production or any other audio-visual project, as determined in the sole discretion of the producers. Exceptional contestants who are not selected as winners may also be considered for future projects like the ones mentioned above, as well as ad films & micro-dramas. Such consideration does not guarantee selection or engagement.

Singers

The winner will be offered a recording contract with BLM Music. Exceptional contestants who are not selected as winners may also be considered for a singing opportunity with BLM Music or other record labels, as per discretion of the producers.

Dancers

The winner will be offered a music video appearance and live events. Exceptional contestants who are not selected as winners may also be considered for similar opportunity as stated above.

Participation does not automatically make you eligible for a prize. Furthermore, winning a prize is subject to eligibility and verification by the producer.

Once submitted, you grant the Organizers and/or their licensees and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use the audition video.

Thus, even if you remove the video from your channel, the Organizers still retain the license to reproduce, use, store, edit, adapt, dub, subtitle, translate, publish, broadcast, stream, distribute, promote the audition video on any mode and medium.

Yes, your consent to the Terms includes grant of right to the Organizers and/or its sponsors/advertisers to use the audition videos and other Entry Content in promos, advertisements etc. in perpetuity, throughout the world and via all modes and mediums.

In the event you do not agree to the same, please note that you will not be able to participate in competition.

You may take down the Entry Content from your own handle, however, since you have given a perpetual license to the Organizers, the Organizers are free to use, reproduce, broadcast, stream the Entry Content on their own handles and other mediums despite such take down by you.

No. It’s a scam. Entering The Big Break is free at every stage. Nobody from this show will ever ask you for money, for a registration fee, for a shortlisting fee, or for anything else.
